Silje Onstad Hålien: 101 hattar å sparke før eg døyr
In her eight years as a choreographer and dancer, Silje Onstad Hålien has contributed to strengthen the dance’s role in the theatre.
Silje Onstad Hålien is the first Norwegian woman to dance halling at an elite-level. ”101 hattar å
sparke ned før eg døyr” is an acclaimed production rooted in Norwegian folk music and folk dance but which at the same time explores the approach to modern dance art. The performance is about a woman’s relationship with herself and the outside world. How many roles, how many ”hats” does she need to try on, explore, live up to, kick down, until she can become herself – a person that is far more than all the hats?
